The invention relates to the use of compositions which contain as components: A) at least one bisazo compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds of general formula (Ia), and general formula (Ib) wherein R1 is C1- C8 alkyl, R2 is C2-C8 alkyl, R3, R3' is C2-C21 alkyl, wherein up to four CH2 groups of the carbon chain can be substituted by oxygen in the ether function, R4 is hydrogen or may independently of R3 have the meaning of R3, R4' is hydrogen or may independently of R3' have the meaning of R3'; B) at least one solvent in which component A) is soluble and optionally C) at least one surface-active substance. Said compositions are used as fissure-detection agent for detecting surface fissures or other defects in work pieces to be examined. The invention further relates to compositions containing the above- mentioned components A), B) and C).
L'invention concerne l'utilisation comme agents de détection de fissures, de préparations contenant comme constituants : A) au moins un composé bisazo sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant les composés de la formule générale (Ia) et de la formule générale (Ib), dans lesquelles R?1¿ désigne alkyle C¿1?-C¿8?, R?2¿ désigne alkyle C¿2?-C¿8?, R?3¿, R?3'¿ désignent alkyle C¿2?-C¿21?, où jusqu'à quatre groupes CH¿2? de la chaîne carbone peuvent être remplacés par oxygène dans la fonction éther, R?4¿ désigne hydrogène ou a, indépendamment de R?3¿ la signification de R?3¿, R?4¿ désigne hydrogène ou indépendamment de R?3'¿, la signification de R?3'¿; au moins un solvant dans lequel le constituant A) est soluble et éventuellement C) au moins une substance tensioactive. Ces compositions s'utilisent pour détecter des fissures superficielles ou d'autres défauts intervenant dans des pièces à vérifier. L'invention concerne en outre des compositions contenant les constituants A), B) et C) mentionnés ci-dessus.
