The invention is related to a method for treating or preventing a disorder resulting from the release of bradykinin in said mammal, particularly a mammal which produces an HBP which binds to an HBP antagonist, e.g. a monoclonal antibody that binds to at least one epitope of human HBP, comprising administering to said mammal an HBP antagonist in an amount effective to decrease the release of bradykinin in a mammal. Furthermore, the invention is directed to methods and kits for determining if a mammal produces HBP that binds to an HBP antagonist, e.g., a monoclonal antibody that binds to at least one epitope of human HBP and a method for detecting an antagonist of HBP.
L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement ou de prévention d'un trouble lié à la libération de la bradykinine chez un mammifère, notamment un mammifère qui produit une protéine de liaison à l'hérapine (HBP) qui se lie à un antagoniste d'HBP, par ex. un anticorps monoclonal qui se lie au moins à un épitope d'HBP humain. Cette méthode consiste à administrer un antagoniste d'HBP audit mammifère en une quantité suffisante pour diminuer la libération de bradykinine chez un mammifère. En outre, cette invention porte sur des méthodes et des kits servant à déterminer si un mammifère produit une protéine de liaison à l'hérapine (HBP) qui se lie à un antagoniste d'HBP, par ex., un anticorps monoclonal qui se lie au moins à un épitope d'HBP humain, et une méthode de détection d'un antagoniste d'HBP.
