A process for producing soda ash from brine waste, the process including reacting brine waste with carbon dioxide and ammonia to produce soda ash, wherein at least a portion of the ammonia is regenerated from ammonium chloride produced during the reaction, the regeneration ideally be achieved by the use of a weak base anion exchange resin.

Procédé dobtention de carbonate de sodium à partir de saumure résiduaire. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir de la saumure résiduaire avec du dioxyde de carbone et de lammonium pour produire du carbonate de sodium, une partie au moins de lammoniac étant régénérée à partir du chlorure dammonium produit pendant la réaction, la régénération étant dans lidéal obtenue au moyen dune résine échangeuse danions de type base faible.
