The use of a simple or polymeric mineral or organic magnesium salt in a method for dyeing keratin fibres, particularly human hair, in which the dyeing agent is 5,6-dihydroxyindole and/or a derivative thereof having formula (I), wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4, which are the same or different, are hydrogen or C1-4 lower alkyl, R1, R2 and R3 being hydrogen when R4 is C1-4 alkyl.
L'invention est relative à l'utilisation d'au moins un sel minéral ou organique simple ou polymérique de magnésium, différent d'un nitrite ou d'un périodate, soluble dans le milieu utilisé pour son application, dans un procédé de coloration des fibres kératiniques mettant en oeuvre à titre d'agent colorant au moins un composé répondant à la formule (I): (I) Image dans laquelle R1, R2, R3 et R4, identiques ou différents, désignent un atome d'hydrogène ou un radical alkyle inférieur en C1-C4, sous réserve que R1, R2 et R3 désignent un atome d'hydrogène lorsque R4 désigne un radical alkyle en C1-C4. L'utilisation d'un sel de magnésium dans un tel procédé permet d'obtenir une coloration présentant une ténacité améliorée vis-à- vis de la lumière. Les teintures obtenues présentent par ailleurs de bonnes résistances aux lavages répétés et à la transpiration.
