ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Antenna apparatus for vehicle-mounted receiver/ transmitter equipment which comprises, a driver for extend- ing and contracting an antenna connected with the receiver/ transmitter, a selector for selecting a frequency to be received and/or transmitted by means of the receiver/trans- mitter, and a controller in response to an output from the frequency selector for causing the driver to extend and con- tract the antenna by the length corresponding to the fre- quency, and for accommodating almost whole portion of the antenna into the body of the vehicle when the receiver/ transmitter is not functioned.
