The invention relates to the repair of vessels, particularly refractory-lined vessels such as are used in steelmaking. Fre- quently there is wear on the lining of such vessels sufficient to prevent the use of the vessel without repair but insufficient to justify the costs of completely re-lining the vessel. The object of the present invention is to provide relatively simple and efficient means (1) for applying particulate refractory material to a vessel (2) wall where required, which objective is met by a means to enable the repair of the refractory lining comprising a rotatable member (4), rotatably mounted at or towards the end of a carrier means (3) adapted to locate the rotatable member (4) at a re- quired position in the vessel, a drive means (6) for the rotatable member, means associated with the carrier to direct and deposit a particulate refractory material on to the rotatable member (4), said carrier and/or said means associated with said carrier being circumferentially adjustable to deposit the particulate material at a predetermined position on the rotatable member and whereby to achieve a required direction of throw of material ejected from the rotatable member.
L'invention se rapporte à la réparation de récipients, notamment de récipients à revêtement intérieur réfractaire, tels que ceux utilisés dans la production de l'acier. On remarque fréquemment une usure sur le revêtement de ces récipients, état d'usure qui nécessite la réparation de ces récipients, mais qui ne justifie pas les coûts de réparation complète du récipient. L'objet de la présente invention est de produire un moyen (1) relativement simple et efficace permettant d'appliquer un matériau réfractaire particulaire sur la paroi d'un récipient (2) lorsque cela est nécessaire, et l'objectif est atteint grâce à un moyen permettant la réparation du revêtement réfractaire comprenant un élément rotatif (4), monté rotatif à l'extrémité ou vers l'extrémité d'un élément support (3) conçu pour placer l'élément rotatif (4) à un emplacement requis dans le récipient, un moyen d'entraînement (6) pour faire tourner l'élément rotatif (4), un moyen associé à l'élément support pour diriger et déposer un matériau réfractaire particulaire sur l'élément rotatif, ce support et/ou ce moyen associé à ce support pouvant être réglé sur la circonférence afin de déposer le matériau particulaire à un emplacement prédéterminé sur l'élément rotatif. Ainsi, on obtient la direction requise pour projeter le matériau s'éjectant de l'élément rotatif.
