A storage organizer system (10) comprises a horizontal rail (20) adapted to be securely mounted to a wall and a number of storage units (12, 14 and 16) adapted to be hung from the rail (20). Each unit includes at least one metal hook (40) extending rearwardly from the unit for engaging the rail (20) and a spacer (50) for engaging the wall so as to support the unit in a vertical position at a distance from the wall. This arrangement provides ease of installation and a sturdy overall construction.
