The present invention concerns a process of preparing high density, warm compacted bodies of a stainless steel powder comprising the steps of providing a mixture of a low carbon, low oxygen stainless steel powder including 10-30 % by weight of Cr, optional alloying elements and graphite and inevitable impurities, mixing the powder with a high temperature lubricant and compacting the mixture at an elevated temperature. The invention also concerns a composition of the stainless steel powder, optional additional alloying elements and a high temperature lubricant.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de corps en poudre d'acier inoxydable compactés à chaud à haute densité, le procédé consistant à prendre un mélange de poudre d'acier inoxydable à faible teneur en carbone et faible teneur en oxygène contenant 10 à 30 % en poids de Cr, éventuellement des éléments d'alliage, du graphite et des impuretés inévitables, à mélanger la poudre avec un lubrifiant à haute température, puis à compacter le mélange à température élevée. L'invention concerne également une composition à base de poudre d'acier inoxydable, comprenant éventuellement des éléments d'alliage supplémentaires et un lubrifiant à haute température.
