Adhesive formulations are blends of aqueous polymer dispersions and a hydrophobic plasticizer. The blended dispersed polymers include at least one hard sulfonated polyester urethane, at least one soft non-sulfonated polyester urethane, and at least one polar non-polyurethane water-based polymer or copolymer. A high molecular weight elastomeric non-sulfonated polyurethane polymer and a crosslinker are optional further components in the blend. The formulations are useful as non-heat activating, one-component adhesive s which generate excellent green strength, water and heat resistant bonds.

Les compositions adhésives décrites sont des mélanges de dispersions polymères aqueuses et d'un plastifiant hydrophobe. Les polymères dispersés dans le mélange comprennent au moins un uréthanne de polyester sulfoné dur, au moins un uréthanne de polyester non sulfoné mou et au moins un polymère ou copolymère polaire à base d'eau qui n'est pas du polyuréthanne. On peut ajouter facultativement au mélange un polymère élastomère de polyuréthanne non sulfoné de haut poids moléculaire et un agent réticulant. Ces compositions sont utiles comme adhésifs à un seul composant activés sans chaleur qui présentent une excellente résistance initiale et forment des liaisons résistant à l'eau et à la chaleur.
