The present invention provides a benzoazepine compound represented by following general formula (1): or a salt thereof, wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group optionally protected with a protecting group, etc., R1 represents a hydrogen atom or hydroxy-protecting group, and X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. La présente invention porte sur un composé de benzoazépine représenté par la formule générale suivante (1): ou un sel de celui-ci, caractérisé en ce que R représente un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe hydroxy protégé éventuellement par un groupe protecteur, entre autres, R<SUP>1</SUP> représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe protecteur hydroxy, et X représente un atome d'oxygène ou un atome de soufre. Le composé de benzoazépine de la présente invention et les sels de celui-ci sont très solubles dans l'eau, et peuvent parfaitement s'utiliser pour les injections.
