ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to new water-soluble titanium-chelates containing triethanolamine as chelating agent, and one or two glycol-ether groups bonded to the titanium atom. These new titanium-chelates, and solutions thereof in glycol-ethers are easily soluble in water. Even 1% aqueous solutions of such compounds are stable and exhibit no turbidity or precipitation after being stored for several weeks. The new compounds which are obtained by reacting triethanolamine-titanates with glycol-ethers and distilling off the alcohol which is split of, may be used for thixotroping dispersions, cross-linking polymers containing hydroxyl group or cold-coating glass.
