A waveguide for a fill-level measuring device to determine the fill level of a material in a container is proposed, which is not affected by internally mounted obstacles in the container, the inactive length of which is easily adjustable, and which can be easily cleaned from deposits or sediments. It is particullarly useful in applications of the food industry and in relatively flat containers. The waveguide is comprised of a probe unit (130) with at least one signal conductor (119) and two shielded conductors (131a, 131b), which are surrounded by carrier element (132), and a connecting unit (110) with a signal connector for connection of the conductors (119, 131a, 131b) with an electronic measuring circuit generating the microwave signals. The Waveguide is mechanically attached to or on the container by means of an attachment unit (140).
