- 1 - Abstract: A wheel rim for a pneumatic tire has a bottom surface portion of a locking ring groove in the rim base inclined. A correspondingly inclined surface of the locking ring abuts the groove surface. The result is reduction of stress in the groove corner and hence a reduction of the risk of cracks forming.
