The present invention relates to the new anhydrous or hydrated zinc cysteate of formula: Image and especially its dihydrate. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the new zinc cysteate comprising reacting a salt, oxyde or hydroxyde of zinc with cysteic acid or a salt of it, or reacting zinc peroxide with cystine or cysteine. The present invention also relates to the uses of the new zinc cysteates, notably as in its dihydrated form, in pharmaceutical and cosmetological preparations.

La présente invention porte sur un nouveau cystéate de zinc, anhydre ou hydraté, de formule Image , et notamment sur son dihydrate. La présente invention porte également sur une méthode pour préparer le nouveau cystéate de zinc, consistant à faire réagir soit un sel, un oxyde ou un hydroxyde de zinc avec de l'acide cystéique ou un sel de celui-ci, soit un peroxyde de zinc avec la cystine ou la cystéine. La présente invention porte également sur les utilisations des nouveaux cystéates de zinc, notamment sous sa forme dihydratée, dans les préparations pharmaceutiques et cosmétiques.
