ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A metallurgical vessel has an outlet passage to which a pouring tube is to be connected. The pouring tube is carried by a carrier ring which is typically mounted by means of bearing pegs at the bifurcated end of an actuating lever. The actuating lever is supported by means of one or more support bodies supported on one or more tracks connected to the underside of the vessel. Support bodies permit pivotal movement of the actuating lever with respect to the vessel. The actuating lever is further supported by one or more further support bodies which are also supported by the track or tracks. The support bodies can move along the track to bring the pouring tube into the desired position horizontally and can then pivot about the support member(s) to bring it into the desired vertical position.
