The invention concerns a self-ligaturing orthodontic correction appliance (1), comprising means for locking an arch wire (3) in the form of a bracket wherein is provided a groove (4) designed to co-operate with said arch wire (3). The groove (4) comprises means (8) for transversely locking the arch wire (3) from above; said means (8) are in the form of at least one pin (9) extending at least partly above the groove (4) at the opening thereof, while said opening (11) is configured to enable the pin (9) to be bypassed when the arch wire (3) is being inserted into the groove (4).

L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) de correction orthodontique autoligaturant, comprenant des moyens de verrouillage d'un arc (3) sous la forme d'un bracket dans lequel est ménagée une gorge (4) destinée à coopérer avec ledit arc (3) . La gorge (4) comprend des moyens (8) aptes à bloquer transversalement et par le dessus l'arc (3) , lesquels moyens (8) se présentent sous la forme d'au moins un ergot (9) s 'étendant au moins en partie au-dessus de la gorge (4) au niveau de l'ouverture (11) de celle-ci, tandis que cette ouverture (11) est conformée de manière à permettre, lors de l'introduction de l'arc (3) dans la gorge (4) , le contournement de l'ergot (9) .
