A positive electrode material is disclosed which contains an iron lithium phosphate as a positive electrode active material and has a large charge/discharge capacity, high-rate adaptability, and good charge/discharge cycle characteristics at the same time. Also disclosed are a simple method for producing such a positive electrode material and a high-performance secondary battery employing such a positive electrode material. Specifically, disclosed is a positive electrode material for secondary battery characterized by mainly containing a positive electrode active material represented by the general formula: LinFePO4 (wherein n is a number of 0-1) and further containing at least one different metal element selected from the group consisting of vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), indium (In) and tin (Sn). This positive electrode material can be produced using a halide of such a metal element as the raw material.

L'invention concerne un matériau d'électrode positive qui contient un phosphate fer-lithium en tant que matériau actif d'électrode positive et une capacité de charge/décharge plus grande, une adaptabilité rapide, et, simultanément, de bonnes caractéristiques de cycle de charge/décharge. L'invention concerne également un procédé simple de production d'un tel matériau d'électrode positive et d'une batterie secondaire à performance élevée utilisant un tel matériau. Plus particulièrement, cette invention concerne un matériau d'électrode positive pour batterie secondaire caractérisée en ce qu'il est représenté par la formule générale: Li¿n?FePo¿4? (n prenant de la valeur de 0 ou 1) et contenant au moins un élément métallique différent choisi dans le groupe constitué de vanadium (V), de chrome (CR), de cuivre (Cu), de zinc (Zn), d'indium (In) et d'étain (Sn). Ce matériau d'électrode positive peut être produit à partir de l'halogénure d'un tel élément métallique comme matière première.
