A waste water insert (46) has a cylindrical wall (52) surrounding a central opening (54). A horizontal flange (48) extends outwardly from the upper end of the wall (52) and has a lip (50) formed on its outer periphery. The horizontal flange (48) is superimposed over a conventional waste water strainer (20) located in a bathtub, sink or the like. The lip (50) fits over the outer periphery of the horizontal flange (24) of the waste water strainer (20) to center the insert on the strainer (20). The cylindrical wall (52) of the insert (46) extends downwardly through the conventional cylindrical wall (30) of the waste water strainer (20) with the two walls being spaced from each other by virtue of the cylindrical wall (52) of the insert (46) having a smaller diameter than that of the strainer. A sealant material (58) is placed between the horizontal flanges (48) of the insert (46) and the strainer (20) and provides the sole means of attachment between the insert (46) and the strainer (20).
Cette invention concerne un insert (46) d'égout qui possède une paroi cylindrique (52) entourant une ouverture centrale (54). Un rebord horizontal (48) dépasse vers l'extérieur depuis l'extrémité supérieure de la paroi (52) et possède une lèvre (50) formée sur sa périphérie externe. Le rebord horizontal (48) vient se superposer sur un orifice d'évacuation des eaux usées (20) traditionnel qui se trouve au fond d'une baignoire, d'un évier ou analogue. La lèvre (50) vient s'insérer sur la périphérie externe du rebord horizontal (24) de l'orifice d'évacuation des eaux usées (20) de manière à centrer l'insert sur ledit orifice (20). La paroi cylindrique (52) de l'insert (46) s'étend vers le bas à l'intérieur de la paroi cylindrique (30) traditionnelle de l'orifice d'évacuation (20), les deux parois étant espacées l'une de l'autre grâce à la paroi cylindrique (52) de l'insert (46) qui possède un diamètre inférieur à celui de l'orifice. Un matériau d'étanchéité (58) est placé entre les rebord horizontal (48) de l'insert (46) et l'orifice d'évacuation (20) et représente l'unique système de fixation entre ledit insert (46) et l'orifice d'évacuation (20).
