ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for mixing material in a pail. Firstly, seal the top opening of the pail with a closure member having elongate members which extend into the interior cavity of the pail. Secondly, tip the pail over such that the pail is supported on the peripheral side wall. Thirdly, roll the pail along a surface. As the pail is rolled along a surface, material within the interior cavity of the pail becomes mixed through contact with the elongate members. The apparatus uses a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted on a support frame and spaced to form a pail receiving pocket. The peripheral side walls of the pail rests upon and roll along the surface of the rollers.
