A process for making a stable, limpid, aqueous fertilizer solution diammonium phosphate, using wet-process phosphoric acid and ammonia, employs citric acid or a citrate salt, preferably ammonium citrate, as a reagent to prevent the formation of precipitates in the fertilizer solution. The solution remains in clear liquid form and can be used without risk of precipitation occurring during storage and use.
