An apparatus for introducing a pulverulent material into a tire (13) of a wheel assembly, through the valve stem thereof, without a large amount of operator time, effort, or intervention. The apparatus includes two main types of components, the mainframe component (12) and one or more workstations components (14a, 14b). Each workstation component (14a, 14b) serves as a location from which an operator for the apparatus introduces the pulverulent material into a tire (13) and the mainframe component (12) includes a container for confining a predetermined amount of the pulverulent material and includes the other components required to dispense the pulverulent material into the container from a hopper, and to evacuate the pulverulent material from the container and distribute the same out to a workstation through a suitable conduit (22a, 22b) where the pulverulent material is introduced into a tire (13). A method of introducing pulverulent material into a tire is also described.
Cette invention se rapporte à un appareil qui sert à introduire un matériau pulvérulent dans un pneu (13) d'une roue, par la tige de la valve du pneu, sans que cette opération ne représente une trop lourde charge en temps, en efforts ou en interventions pour l'opérateur. Cet appareil comprend deux types principaux d'éléments, l'élément unité centrale (12) et un ou plusieurs éléments postes de travail (14a, 14b). Chaque élément poste de travail (14a, 14b) sert de point à partir duquel l'opérateur de l'appareil introduit le matériau pulvérulent dans le pneu (13), et l'élément unité centrale (12) comprend un récipient destiné à confiner une quantité prédéterminée du matériau pulvérulent, ainsi que les autres éléments requis pour distribuer le matériau pulvérulent dans le récipient à partir d'une trémie et pour évacuer le matériau pulvérulent du récipient et le distribuer dans chacun des postes de travail par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit approprié (22a, 22b), par lequel le matériau pulvérulent est introduit dans le pneu (13). Un procédé d'introduction de ce matériau pulvérulent dans un pneu est également présenté.
