The present invention is drawn to an MMIC capacitor comprising a dielectric material interposed between a metal top plate and a metal bottom plate; and a passivation layer having the composition of the dielectric material and applied to the capacitor components such that thickness of the layer eliminates a corona effect. The invention also includes a method for passivating a layer of SiNi material onto a top plate having a thickness sufficient to reduce a corona effect dependent on an applied voltage.
La présente invention concerne un condensateur MMIC qui comprend un matériau diélectrique interposé entre des plaques métalliques supérieure et inférieure ; et une couche de passivation qui a la composition du matériau diélectrique et est appliquée sur les composants de condensateur, de sorte que l'épaisseur de la couche élimine un effet de couronne. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour passiver une couche de matériau SiNi sur une plaque supérieure qui présente une épaisseur suffisante pour réduire un effet couronne qui dépend d'une tension appliquée.
