The invention provides a reagent for detecting amyloid in a biological tissue which can be detect amyloid in vitro and in vivo with high sensitivity using a compound which has affinity with amyloid and is suppressed in toxicity such as mutagenicity. The reagent for detecting amyloid deposited in a biological tissue comprises a compound represented by the following formula (1) or a salt thereof: Image wherein A1, A2, A3 and A4 independently represents a carbon or nitrogen; R1 is a halogen substituent; R2 is a halogen substituent; and m is an integer of 0 to 2, provided that at least one of R1 and R2 is a radioactive halogen substituent, at least one of A1, A2, A3 and A4 represents a carbon, and R1 binds to a carbon represented by A1, A2, A3 and A4.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation d'un réactif permettant de détecter des substances amyloïdes dans un tissu biologique, ledit réactif comprenant un composé présentant une affinité pour les substances amyloïdes et dont la toxicité est réduite, notamment la mutagénicité, et ledit réactif pouvant détecter des substances amyloïdes in vitro et in vivo avec une sensibilité élevée. Ainsi, l'invention concerne un réactif permettant de détecter des substances amyloïdes déposées dans un tissu biologique, ledit réactif comprenant un composé représenté par la formule (1) ou un sel dudit composé. Dans ladite formule (1), A1, A2, A3 and A4représentent indépendamment un carbone ou un azote; R1 représente un substituant halogène; R2 représente un substituant halogène; et m représente un entier compris entre 0 et 2, à condition qu'au moins un élément sélectionné parmi A1, A2, A3 et A4 représente un carbone et que R1 se lie à au moins un des éléments sélectionnés parmi A1, A2, A3 et A4 qui représente un carbone.
