Disclosed is an actuator comprising at least one active electrode and at least one opposite electrode in an electrolyte. The active electrode encompasses at least two webs (3) which are made of an electrically conductive material and are provided with a plurality of nanotubes (2) that are orthogonally placed thereupon while being unidirectionally oriented in a preferred direction. An electrically conductive connection is provided between the nanotubes and the webs while the electrode and the opposite electrode can be impinged upon by a potential difference via a voltage source or power source. The aim of the invention is to improve said actuator regarding greater actuator forces and amplitude frequencies. Said aim is achieved by the fact that the nanotubes are joined to one respective web on both sides, said joint being an integral joint.

L'invention concerne un actionneur comprenant au moins une électrode active et au moins une contre-électrode dans un électrolyte. Ladite électrode active comprend au moins deux éléments jointifs (3) constitués d'un matériau électriquement conducteur, une pluralité de nanotubes (2) étant placés orthogonalement sur ces éléments et orientés de façon unidirectionnelle dans une direction prédominante. Une liaison électriquement conductrice est établie entre ces nanotubes et ces éléments jointifs et l'électrode et la contre-électrode peuvent recevoir une différence de potentiel par l'intermédiaire d'une source de tension ou de courant. L'objectif de l'invention est d'améliorer cet actionneur de façon à accroître ses forces et les fréquences d'amplitude. A cet effet, les nanotubes sont reliés de chaque côté à un élément jointif respectif, par liaison de matière.
