Over human history, a tremendous amount of time, labour and money has been spent on removing animal manure from bedding material. Traditional manure forks have separate tines that inevitably get broken or bent with use, which increases cost and time spent on mucking out stalls. In terms of ease-of-use, these forks usually have a long handle, which can make it more difficult for the end user to manoeuvre. Intended to be true to the original purpose of a manure fork, i.e., separating animal manure from the bedding material, this new fork is characterized by a stirrup handle, trunk, and a fork with tines and slots encased in a frame with a solid front edge, making it easier for the end user to manoeuvre, which translates into time and labour savings, and reduces bedding waste, with resultant lower overall costs.
