A hyper encoder module encodes a block of data having a plurality of sub- blocks. Each sub-block includes a plurality of systematic block code codewords. A parity sub-block is added to the block. The parity sub-block is a first sub-block rotated by a predetermined number of bits. Each subsequent sub-block in the n-dimensional block is rotated by an appropriate number of bits and bit-wise XORed. An encoder method and apparatus which includes the hyper encoder module receives the block of data. A row of the block is immediately output and encoded by a first module according to a first encoding scheme. A column is encoded by a second module according to a second encoding scheme. A second set of encoded data is generated, iteratively updated and output by the second module. The hyper encoder module hyper-diagonally encodes the information bits as described above and then output.
L'invention concerne un module hypercodeur codant un bloc de données présentant plusieurs sous-blocs. Chaque sous-bloc comprend une multitude de mots codés systematiques de code de blocs. Un sous-bloc de parité est ajouté au bloc. Ce sous-bloc consiste en un premier sous-bloc orienté par un nombre de bits prédéterminé. Chaque sous-bloc postérieur contenu dans le bloc à n-dimension est orienté par un nombre approprié de bits et d'opérations OU exclusif opérant au niveau du bit. Un procédé et un dispositif de codage comprenant le module hypercodeur reçoit le bloc de données. Une rangée du bloc est immédiatement produite puis codée par un premier module conformément à un premier schéma de codage. Une colonne est codée par un second module conformément à un second schéma de codage. Un second ensemble de données codées est produit, il est itérativement actualisé et produit par le second module. Le module hypercodeur code les bits d'information selon le processus susmentionné puis il les produit.
