ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is described for the hot-end costing of hollow- glass objects by the application of tin compounds, optionally dissolved in organic solvents, on the surface of hollow glass objects heated to 500° to 600°C, the tin compounds being pyrolyzedwith the formation of thin tin oxide layers. For this method, monobutyl tin tricarboxylates, which can be dissolved in organic solvents having a boiling point below 180°C, are vapor deposited on the glass surfaces.
