An improved mooring system for a vessel (10) having a mooring turret (19) which is rotatably coupled to a well (14) of the vessel (10) such that the vessel (10) is free to weathervane about the mooring turret is disclosed. An anchor leg support base (18) is fixed with the mooring turret (19) with anchor lines (20) secured thereto and anchored to the sea floor (24). A riser turret (25) is rotatably coupled to the mooring turret (19) and is fixed to the well (14) of the vessel. A riser support base (100) is pivotally coupled to a riser support device (30) for mounting the upper ends of a plurality of flexible risers (48) extending from the sea floor. The riser mounting device (30) is arranged and designed to pivot about two axes (34, 40) at right angles to each other relative to the riser support base (100). The gimbaled riser mounting device (30) provides a generally uniform load distribution among the risers (48) upon twisting or boundling of the risers (48) which result from weathervaning of the vessel (10) about the mooring turret (19).

L'invention concerne un système d'amarrage pour un navire (10), doté d'une tourelle (19) d'amarrage qui est accouplée de manière rotative à un puits (14) du navire (10) de façon à ce que le navire (10) soit libre d'éviter autour de la tourelle d'amarrage. Une base (18) support de jambe d'ancrage est fixée à la tourelle (19) d'amarrage, des lignes (20) d'ancrage étant fixées à ladite base et ancrées au fond marin (24). Une tourelle (25) de tube prolongateur est accouplée de manière rotative à la tourelle (19) d'amarrage et fixée au puits (14) du navire. Une base (100) support de tube prolongateur est accouplée de manière rotative à un dispositif (30) support du tube prolongateur destiné au montage des extrémités supérieures d'une pluralité de tubes prolongateurs flexibles (48) se prolongeant à partir du fond marin. Le dispositif (30) est placé et conçu pour pivoter autour de deux axes (34, 40) formant un angle droit l'un avec l'autre par rapport à la base (100) support du tube prolongateur. Le dispositif (30) monté à la cardan de montage du tube prolongateur assure une répartition généralement uniforme de la charge entre les tubes prolongateurs (48) pendant la torsion ou "le regroupement" des tubes prolongateurs (48) qui résultent de l'évitage du navire (10) autour de la tourelle (19) d'amarrage.
