An apparatus and method provides for rotatably cutting and/or laminating layered structures or sheet material supported by webs. A rotary converting apparatus and method of the present invention converts a web comprising a cathode layered structure and a web comprising an anode layered structure into a series of layered electrochemical cell structures supported by a release liner. Employment of a rotary converting process of the present invention provides, among other benefits, for the creation of a product having a finished size, without need for downstream or subsequent cutting.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant le découpage rotatif et/ou la stratification de structures en couches ou de matériau en feuille supportés par des bandes. Un appareil et un procédé de formation de l'invention permettent de former une bande comprenant une structure de cathode en couche et une bande comprenant une structure d'anode en couche en une série de structures de cellules électrochimiques en couches supportées par un film de libération. L'utilisation, dans cette invention, d'un procédé de formation rotatif permet d'obtenir, parmi d'autres avantages, la création d'un produit de taille finie sans avoir besoin de découpage aval ou subséquent.
