A safety catheter (1) comprises a catheter body (10) having an axial channel (11) communicating with a sheath or cannula (20) for administration of fluids, a guide needle (3) insertable, though the channel (11) of the catheter body, into the sheath (20) to guide it during insertion into a patient's body (10), and a guide needle body (30), supporting the guide needle (3), insertable into the catheter body (10) and provided with at least one seat (35) for coupling with medical instruments, the body (30) of the guide needle being mounted slidably in said catheter body (10) to be able to pass from a forward working position, wherein the guide needle (3) protrudes forward from the catheter body, to a retracted safety position, wherein the guide needle (3) is protected inside the catheter body (10), there being provided locking means (40) disposed in the body (30) of the guide needle, cooperating with complementary locking or stop means (14, 15, 16) disposed in the catheter body (10), to lock the guide needle body (30) respectively in the forward working position and in the retracted safety position.
L'invention concerne un cathéter de sécurité (1) comprenant un corps de cathéter (10) possédant un canal axial (11) relié à une gaine ou à une canule (20) pour l'administration de fluides, une aiguille de guidage (3) pouvant être insérée dans la gaine (20), par le canal (11) du corps, pour la guider lors de son insertion dans le corps du patient, ainsi qu'un corps d'aiguille de guidage (30) servant de support pour l'aiguille de guidage (3), pouvant être inséré dans le corps du cathéter (10) et pourvu d'au moins un siège (35) conçu pour être couplé à des instruments médicaux. Le corps de l'aiguille de guidage (30) est monté de façon coulissante à l'intérieur dudit corps du cathéter (10) afin de pouvoir passer d'une position de travail avant dans laquelle l'aiguille de guidage (3) dépasse à l'avant du corps du cathéter (10), à une position de sécurité rétractée dans laquelle l'aiguille de guidage (3) est protégée à l'intérieur du corps du cathéter (10). Le corps de l'aiguille de guidage (30) est équipé d'un moyen de verrouillage (40) coopérant avec un moyen de verrouillage ou d'arrêt complémentaire (14, 15, 16) situé dans le corps du cathéter (10), pour verrouiller le corps de l'aiguille de guidage (30) dans la position de travail avant et dans la position de sécurité rétractée, respectivement.
