Glasses with a determined, precise surface structuring are required in the area of glasses which have optic functions, for example, in display panels of new generation flat display screens, so-called channel plates. While avoiding the disadvantages of prior art screen printing technology, the invention provides a shaping tool (1) which has a structured surface for producing structures on glass (2) and which makes it possible to economically form highly precise microstructures by locally heating the glass region to be structured. The inventive shaping tool comprises a rolling cylinder (3) with a metallic hollow cylinder (7), a shaping sheet metal (8) fixed on the surface of said hollow cylinder, and a traversing shaft (5) for continuously driving the rolling cylinder (3) via drive elements (4). An electric heater is arranged in an electrically insulated manner between the shaft (5) and the hollow cylinder (7).
Les verres utilisés dans des domaines où ils assurent des fonctions optiques doivent présenter une structuration superficielle précise et déterminée, par exemple dans le cas des panneaux de la nouvelle génération d'écrans plats, désignées sous l'appellation de panneaux cannelés. Afin d'éviter les inconvénients de la sérigraphie, technique usuelle jusqu'à présent, il est prévu, selon l'invention, un outil de formage (1) à surface structurée, pour la production de structures sur du verre (2). Cet outil permet, de manière économique, de réaliser des microstructures de grande précision par réchauffement local de la zone du verre à structurer. L'outil de formage présente un cylindre de laminage (3) comportant un cylindre métallique creux (7) et une tôle de façonnage (8) fixé sur la surface dudit cylindre creux, ainsi qu'un arbre continu (5) pour entraîner en continu le cylindre de laminage (3) par l'intermédiaire d'éléments d'entraînement (4). Un dispositif de chauffage électrique est placé de manière isolée électriquement entre l'arbre (5) et le cylindre creux (7).
