Every day, the average person takes between 3,000 and 10,000 steps. Many people in third world countries average more than 20 000 since walking is the only transportation available. Every step taken consumes energy that was once released when bonds between molecules were broken. Its it possible to re-harness at least a portion of this energy through external devices. This energy can then be stored and used later to power electronic devices. This invention that this applications pertains to is a shoe modified in such a way that allows it to harnesses energy that would otherwise be wasted. Within the sole of shoe lies a number of solenoid magnet pairings (see figure 1,2,3) that induce current as the user walks. The movement generated as the foot compresses and relaxes the spongy material in the magnet pairing allow for changes in the magnetic field surrounding it. These changes cause induction. The current then flows through the copper wire and then is eventually stored within a rechargeable battery which is also contained within the shoe itself. This battery can be used to power or charge electronic devices when there is sufficient potential difference stored. Each shoe contains a varying number of solenoid magnet paring in such a way that energy generation is maximized and cost is minimized. Not only can this power be used to help save our environment, but also if theses generators are available in the mass market and are given out to people living below the poverty line (people in third world countries that are not on the power grid or cannot afford electricity) can have a chance to have a cheap form of power to light some parts of their dwellings for at least short periods of time.
