Compounds which can be used as herbicides and have the formula (I) Formula (I) Image in which: * X, Y and Z represent a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom or an alkyl group or haloalkyl group or alkoxy group, at least one of the radicals X, Y or Z having a meaning other than the hydrogen atom, * Ar represents a phenyl group which is optionally mono- or polysubstituted by a lower alkyl group or lower alkoxy group or lower alkylthio group or phenyl group or phenoxy group or a halogen atom, or a heterocycle Het, * Het represents a heterocycle having 5 or 6 ring members and containing one or more hetero atom(s) such as sulphur, nitrogen or oxygen, this heterocycle being optionally mono- or polysubstituted by a lower alkyl or lower alkoxy group or lower alkylthio group or a halogen atom. The herbicidal compositions which contain the products of the formula (I) and the weeding methods which make use of the compounds of the formula (I) or the compositions containing them.
